Pittcon Call for Topics
Call For Topics

You may now submit a suggestion for Pittcon 2012. The deadline for suggestions is April 15, 2011.

As Chair of the 2012 Program Committee, I invite you to join us in planning for next year’s Conference in Orlando.

    • Proposals for 2012 Symposia, Organized Contributed Sessions, and Workshops will be accepted through April 15, 2011.

    • All proposals MUST be submitted electronically.

    • Beginning on April 16, proposals will be reviewed by individual committee members with the entire committee meeting in early May to discuss and finalize selections.

Proposals for technical program sessions are sought in all areas of analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy, including (but not limited too) bioanalytical chemistry, nanotechnology, environmental analysis, food analysis, forensics, pharmaceutical analysis, life science technologies, all of the ’omics, high throughput screening, analyses related to art and archeology, and relevant innovative educational approaches.

As was the case in 2011, for 2012, the Program Committee will pay particular attention to program quality and diversity (topics and speakers) during the review of proposals. While Orlando allows us to have several additional session rooms as compared to the 2011 Conference, there still are a limited number of slots. Submitters are encouraged to ensure that their abstract is both clear and convincing. The Program Committee also expects to continue the emphasis on the quality and the growth of the poster sessions, and to begin an experiment with a limited number of electronic posters.

Please feel free to contact the Program committee, if you have comments or questions about the 2012 Technical Program. We can be reached by email to program@pittcon.org or by phone at 800-825-3321 or 412-825-3220, x 219.

Looking forward to your contributions to Pittcon 2012,

    Joseph J. Grabowski, Ph.D.
    Pittcon 2012 Program Committee Chair
