Overview:
Faster and more cost efficient analytical techniques are constantly sought out in attempt to meet the current demands to do more with less. In many industries, such as those related to pharmaceuticals, high performance liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is perhaps the most widely used analytical technique and can be viewed as a major bottleneck in the scheme of sample and information flow. Thus, HPLC methods that are not only faster but more efficient are highly desired. This effort has manifested itself towards the use of new HPLC column and instrument technologies. In this session, gains and challenges involved in implementing such technologies will be discussed by representatives from academia and industry. They will share their expertise from both a fundamental and practical perspective on the topic.
