Promotional Opportunity
Would you like to generate additional traffic, publicity, and leads at Pittcon 2009?
Participate in the New Product Forums!
The New Product Forums enable Pittcon 2009 exhibitors to highlight new products, techniques, and equipment at Pittcon 2009.
The 2009 Forums will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The Forums will consist of sessions with four 20-minute presentations organized according to specific topics. The sessions are intended to be informal to afford plenty of opportunity for audience participation and discussion.
How to Participate in the 2009 New Product Forums
Please submit an electronic abstract (2,000 characters or less)
- Establish a "User Account." If you already have a user account from submitting another abstract or short course, you will not need to repeat this step. Otherwise, click on Create User Account – bottom middle. Be sure to make note of the user name it assigns to you. Your account should be active shortly after receiving a confirmation email.
- Login to your User Account
- Click on Submit New Abstract
- Select New Product Forum Abstract
Abstracts should be received by Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Late abstracts will be placed on a waiting list and will be scheduled if space permits.
Each exhibiting company may submit up to two abstracts. The abstracts will be reviewed and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis as space permits. The New Product Forums are different in content and intent from the Technical Program Presentations; please consider your format carefully, as we can not accept duplicate abstracts.
PLEASE NOTE: Only abstracts submitted on-line will be accepted. Do not mail or fax any abstract to the Pittcon office. If you need assistance with on-line abstract submission, please contact Becky Hackley by email to program@pittcon.org or call 800-825-3221, x219 or 412-825-3220, x219.
Review and Acceptance Process
Abstracts will be reviewed for quality and content.
The Program Committee reserves the sole right to accept, place on a waiting list, or reject any abstract for any reason. NOTE: the forums are intended for new products only, not products that have previously been introduced. No one except members of the Pittsburgh Conference Program Committee will have access to the abstracts prior to publication.
Information about the status of your abstract will be provided via e-mail. If your abstract is accepted, and you subsequently decide to cancel your presentation, it is imperative that you immediately inform Becky Hackley. This allows us to reassign your time slot and prevent unscheduled breaks in the sessions. If you cancel your presentation without notice, your company will be placed on our "no-show list" and will be banned from the New Product Forums for two years.
The titles of the accepted presentations will be published in the Pittcon 2009 Preliminary and Final Programs and on the Conference web site. Abstracts will be posted to the web site approximately six weeks before the conference and will be printed in the Book of Abstracts on CD-ROM.
We hope that you will take advantage of this prime opportunity to showcase your new products, equipment, and techniques.
