Pittcon's awards honor individuals for their significant contributions to analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, and bioanalytical chemistry, encompassing the introduction or advancement of techniques, theories, or instruments. Nominees from diverse backgrounds, including industry, academia, and government, are welcomed.
Each awardee will curate a session featuring themselves and four esteemed collaborators in their field, further enhancing collaboration and knowledge exchange within the scientific community. These awards celebrate excellence and innovation while driving forward advancements in scientific research and education.
Awards will be Presented at Pittcon 2025 in Boston. Nomination deadline is May 1.

The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP) is accepting nominations for the 49th annual Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Award, which will be presented at Pittcon. The purpose of the award is to recognize an individual’s significant contributions to the field of analytical chemistry, not limited to introducing or significantly expanding the application of a noteworthy technique, theory or instrument. Nominees are encouraged from all fields, including industry, academia, and government. Self-nominations are permitted.
The winner will receive a cash award and travel costs to Pittcon 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts, and will be included as a speaker in the Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Award Symposium in his/her honor.

The Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh (SSP) is accepting nominations for the 68th annual Pittsburgh Spectroscopy Award, which will be presented at Pittcon 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP) is soliciting nominations for the Pittcon Achievement Award. The Award is presented annually at Pittcon to recognize individuals for outstanding achievements in the fields of analytical chemistry and/or applied spectroscopy within 10 years after completion of their Ph.D. work.
To be eligible for the award, nominees must have completed their Ph. D. no earlier than March 1, 2014. The winner will be reimbursed for expenses to receive this award at Pittcon 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Ralph N. Adams Award in Bioanalytical Chemistry will be presented at Pittcon, and includes a plaque, a cash award, and travel expenses. The award recognizes significant contributions to the field of bioanalytical chemistry, broadly defined. The recipient will have introduced a significant technique, theory, instrument or application important to the life sciences, and provided an exceptional environment to educate bioanalytical chemists. Ralph N. Adams (1924 – 2002) exemplified these characteristics as a distinguished professor of chemistry at the University of Kansas.
