The world's smallest GC-TMS instruments are fast, accurate, and reliable. Two systems are available, one for field measurements the other for the laboratory. The systems feature a low thermal mass gas chromatograph with rapid temperature programming and a toroidal ion trap mass spectrometer with mass range from 50 to 500 Daltons. Samples are injected using a novel SPME fiber custody syringe. The fieldable GUARDION-7TM weighs less than 25 pounds, is battery operated, and hand-portable. This miniature GC-TMS system is ideal for rapid (~3 min) screening of chemical agents, explosives, and hazardous substances.
