Exposition Assigned Move-In

This year presents many challenges for move-in.  This is the first time that we are moving in while another show is moving out.  Our move-in time is shortened by 1½ days.  Because of this we have an abbreviated move-in period for Pittcon 2007 and this impacts not only our exhibitors, but Pittcon too.

For the first time, we are requiring that the freight move-in process be more regimented than in past years.  Accordingly, we have set an assigned site freight arrival date and time frame for ALL exhibitors.  Please click here for the color coded Assigned Freight Arrival Floor Plan.  This floor plan shows the date and time frame when your on-site freight shipment will be unloaded.

Please let your freight carrier know that this is a controlled move-in, and they should be checked in at the McCormick Place marshalling yard at least one hour prior to the start of your move-in period.  Failing to meet the assigned arrival date and time, or shipping in early in hopes of getting on the floor earlier, will end up increasing your costs and will not enhance your move-in opportunity.

Exhibitors with the arrival date of Friday, February 23, can make the most of the time available by shipping early needs, such as carpet and padding, tool boxes, hanging signs, etc., to the advanced warehouse (see Tab 10 of the Exhibitor Service Manual).  These materials will be unloaded early Thursday, February 22, and will be available for you and your work crews to install.

We have extended the normal floor access hours to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.  Beginning at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, access will be around the clock until the exposition opens on Monday, February 26.  Please remember that after 8:30 p.m. there will be no re-admittance to the hall once you leave. 

All of us at Pittcon, GES and you, our Exhibitor are challenged to get everything completed before the opening of the exposition.  We feel confident that with everyone’s cooperation, we will all be ready for the Grand Opening Monday morning of Pittcon 2007!
